    Measure 15111 reflects the commitment made by the Ministère de l’Éducation to promote the development of Education Through Entrepreneurial Spirit, a powerful mechanism for the educational success of students.

    This measure makes it possible to support entrepreneurial experimentation projects in the youth and adult general education sectors by instilling the entrepreneurial spirit in students and adult learners.

     

    Are you looking to carry out an entrepreneurial project with your students?

    OSEntreprendre wants to promote the use of Measure 15111–L'esprit d'entreprendre by schools so that as many education professionals and students as possible can be supported throughout their process and experience being involved in an entrepreneurial project. 

    Please note that Measure 15111 falls entirely under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre is providing the information for illustrative purposes only and is never involved in the granting or control of allocations. 

    Measure 15111–L'esprit d'entreprendre (Entrepreneurial Spirit)

    Measure 15111 falls entirely under the responsibility of the Ministère.

    • The Measure’s allocation standards and eligibility criteria are dictated by the Ministère’s budget rules.
    • The allocation is provided to the school boards by the Ministère. Schools are invited to follow up with their school service centre or school board.

     

    Upon request, OSEntreprendre will provide the Ministère with the list of eligible projects registered for the OSEntreprendre Challenge, allowing it to analyze the application of the Measure’s parameters. OSEntreprendre is never involved in the granting or control of allocations. 

    The Ministère’s allocation standards

    • The allocation is $100 per student enrolled in youth or adult general education who took part in an eligible entrepreneurial project registered for the Défi OSEntreprendre no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
    • The maximum ministerial contribution is $1000 per project.
    • Each project must be eligible and registered for the Défi OSEntreprendre of the current school year. 
    • A student can take part in more than one project eligible for the Défi OSEntreprendre. Participating students must be declared for each project submitted.
    • A project can only receive funding through the Measure once over the course of one school year.
    • The number of projects selected is determined by the Ministère based on the financial resources available.

    Allowance request

    School service centres and school boards must submit their requests for Measure 15111-L'esprit d'entreprendre (Entrepreneurial Spirit) directly on the Ministère's Collecte Info Portal. The period for making a request is December 2, 2024, to March 18, 2025.

    By connecting to Collecte Info, school service centres and school boards can send the request form to be filled out by the school directly to the administration of each school under their jurisdiction.

    The purpose of the allocation received is to support entrepreneurial experimentation projects for the current school year.

    1. How is the allocation paid out?

    Under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre provides this information as a reference only.

    The allocation is determined based on the eligible applications accepted by the Ministère and the financial resources available and an allocation ordre based on the request date for Measure 15111 on the Ministère's CollecteInfo Portal.

    Payment is made to the school service centres and school boards by the Ministère according to the operating budget rules. Schools are invited to follow up with their school service centre or and school board. Under no circumstances is OSEntreprendre involved in the granting or management of allocations.

    2. Will receiving or not receiving funding under Measure 15111 influence the processing of my application to the Défi OSEntreprendre?

    No. Since 1998, the Défi OSEntreprendre has been a major Québec movement that acknowledges the entrepreneurial initiatives of thousands of participants each year, including young people from elementary school to university, as well as business creators. The Défi OSEntreprendre is deployed, and takes root at, the local, regional and provincial levels.

    Upon request, OSEntreprendre will provide the Ministère with the list of projects registered in the Défi OSEntreprendre and eligible under Measure 15111. Under no circumstances is OSEntreprendre involved in the granting or management of allocations.

    3. Are private educational institutions eligible?

    Under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre provides this information as a reference only.

    No. Measure 15111 refers to the operating budget rules for school service centres and school boards. Private schools are invited to refer to their respective budget measures.

    4. Are projects submitted in the Preschool category eligible?

    Under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre provides this information as a reference only.

    Yes. Projects submitted in the Preschool category are eligible for Measure 15111 if they meet the definition of an entrepreneurial project and the eligibility criteria of the Défi OSEntreprendre.

    5. Are projects from vocational training centres eligible?

    Under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre provides this information as a reference only.

    No. The vocational training sector should refer to Measure 15112 and follow up with their school service centres or school boards for details on this measure.

    6. Are projects from adult education centres eligible?

    Under the responsibility of the Ministère. OSEntreprendre provides this information as a reference only.

    Yes. Projects submitted in the Adult Education category are eligible for Measure 15111 if they meet the definition of an entrepreneurial project and the eligibility criteria of the Défi OSEntreprendre.

    7. Can the allocation received for an entrepreneurial project under Measure 15111 be spent the following year?

    No. The purpose of the allocation received under Measure 15111 is to support entrepreneurial experimentation projects in the youth and adult general education sectors for the current school year.
