More than 300 local and regional representatives all over Québec are ready to accompany and shine the spotlight on the people in their community.
Each edition of the Défi OSEntreprendre rolls out in a yearly cycle from November to June.
📅 Starting in November
Using the Guide to the form and the selection criteria, start completing the registration form at your own pace and submit it before the deadline on March 11, 2025, 4:00 p.m.
📅 March
The school principal receives a participation certificate for each student.* This is a great tool to hand out at a special activity to shine the spotlight on the young people!
*The certificates are personalized with the name of the project and are prepared based on the number of young people indicated on the registration form.
📅 Beginning of April
The application is evaluated by a jury in your area, which sees how dynamic your young people are.
The local prizewinners receive diplomas to hang proudly in the classroom! Have you thought about sharing a photo of the young people to get the conversation started about the project team?
*Certain institutions or territories do not hold a selection process at the local level. In that case, applications go straight to the selection process at the regional level.
📅 End of April
The applications of the local prizewinners are evaluated by another jury.
The regional prizewinners are announced during a gala, an opportunity to meet people and, together, celebrate the region’s entrepreneurial spirit!
📅 May and June
The applications of the regional prizewinners are evaluated by another jury.
The winners are announced during the Desjardins Grand Prize Gala of the Défi OSEntreprendre, a huge celebration that brings more than 600 guests together at the Palais Montcalm in Québec City!
Each project is registered in one of the official categories in accordance with the educational level of the young people involved. The registration form provides details on choosing the correct category in accordance with the educational level of the students.
**At the local and regional levels, the amount of the cash prizes varies depending on the communities. At the regional level, the cash prizes are usually around $500.
The Jury’s Favourite Co-operative, presented by the Fondation pour l’éducation à la coopération et à la mutualité, showcases an entrepreneurial project that used a co-operative model from among the provincial prizewinners in the official categories.
The project representative must certify that the project is eligible at the time of the registration.
